There are no minimalist elongated sections, scary vocals or avant garde noise- just tight compositions that should please most Canterbury fans but still experimental enough to please RIO/Henry Cow fans. Lindsay Cooper deserves a big portion of the credit- she looms large here as both musician and composer. And surely everyone agrees that the bassoon is one of the coolest sounding instruments, right?
