While doing some record hunting in Indiana this spring was quite excited to find this sitting in a crate! Back in the pre-Ebay days 78 Quarterly reported this as no known copies, although a different master was pressed as Herwin 92024 with 2 low grade copies reported (guess there was a Champion pressing as well as George Thomas & His Boys), not sure if other copies have turned up but quite possibly the only known copy. Recorded April 27, 1927. Gennett 6156-Hawaiian Harmony Blues/Blue Hawaii. Wonderful black band with celeste, hurdy-gurdy, guitar and violin. It's thought that Lonnie Johnson plays on this as well.
CONDITION V+ minor surface marks, solid 60-70% luster. Recording on the low side but plays very strong with no distortion
