USA very hard to find vinyl LP on Slumberland records from 1996, I actually saw this band play my friends records store "Radio Kilroy" in Grand Rapids MI right around then with the Electrosonics, this comes with a non glossy cover with custom innersleeve (SLR 54).

AMG PROFILE: San Francisco noise-pop combo Henry's Dress comprised singers/guitarists/drummers Amy Linton and Matt Hartman in tandem with bassist Hayyim. Originating in Albuquerque, NM, the trio relocated to the Bay Area following Linton's acceptance to the San Francisco Art Institute; concurrently, Slumberland Records agreed to release the band's debut single, "1620." A split single with the legendary Tiger Trap followed, and in 1995 Henry's Dress returned with a self-titled ten-inch EP; in the wake of the much-acclaimed full-length Bust 'Em Green, the trio toured with Rocketship, then disbanded. Linton later formed the Aisler's Set, while Hayyim recorded as Uakachaka Guitah.

AMG REVIEW: If you could bottle ebullience, it would sound like Bust 'Em Green. At 12 tunes in 25 minutes, the debut full-length from Henry's Dress passes by in about the same time it would take for a collection of advertising jingles, and the songs are, indeed, as incessantly catchy as that description implies. In fact, they are like jolts of adrenaline, driving surf-punk-go-go-pop cherry bombs splashed with a bit of slashing mod-art flavor and full of bouncy ba-ba-ba's and whoa-oh's that are at least partly grounded in Phil Spector's girl group pop and '60s garage rock, beefed up by syringes-full of energy and attitude. These sound like the simplest possible songs anyone could write, but if that were the case, more bands would write them. And more bands should. At least half the songs are stupidly, naively brilliant, and "Get Yourself Together" turns the riff from Eddie Cochran's "Summertime Blues" inside out until it's a snarling admonition. The '60s, though, are only a starting point for the band, and the splendidly idiot-savant rock of the Ramones is perhaps its primary sonic influence. Henry's Dress pummel through the fast songs with careless aggression that accentuates even more the crazy-wonderful pop hooks that characterize every song, and the band works the nexus between their not-so-disparate-as-one-might-think influences throughout the album. When each song is happening, the differences between the styles is entirely obliterated into a single, bulldogging nirvana, a car crash of pop. Amy Linton and Matt Hartman alternate songwriting chores while Hayyim Sanchez plays a bulging bass sound that adds juice to each song and may be the glue for the entire album, and the music seems so impromptu that the trio sound like old friends messing around in the basement until their favorite TV show or cartoon comes on. Linton takes most of the vocals, and it gives the whole undertaking a bit of a cartoon-rock feel, like Josey & the Pussycats come to life. The music is pedal-to-the-floor, furious, bright, bold, propulsive, a caffeinated high, and the songs never overstay their welcome. Henry's Dress know exactly who and what they are, and they play the role to perfection.

LP SHIPPING + PACKING & VARIOUS INFO:
I use real coated cardboard LP mailers when I ship vinyl & these are very durable. I usually take the records with the inner sleeves out of the covers (unless factory sealed of course) so they don't split the seams of the cover in shipment. Then I put them in a 2 or 3 mil plastic sleeve & then wrap a plastic bag or two around them to keep them from flopping around in the mailer, this method seems to work best since it adds air & almost works like bubble wrap (keeps the LP's usually under a pound & saves a lot on shipping rates worldwide compared to using cardboard inserts), breakage rate has been way less than 1 in 1000 using this method, if I added cardboard it also would make the weight of it more prone to the corners getting dented in transit if dropped. 10" records & 12" singles count as 1 LP for shipping, single laserdiscs count as 2 LP's for shipping (& I pack 2+ records differently & I have oversized boxes for larger packages...don't worry I've been sending out stuff about 5 days a week for over 20 years now & know exactly what I'm doing over here). I also add plain white inner sleeves so custom innersleeves don't get spit in shipping also (if either company or specialty sleeves came with the record).

All records are BLACK VINYL unless noted & inserts/gatefold covers/posters/custom inner sleeves will be noted in the description if they are included plus promo & cutout marks stated if they are there also. I don't believe in hiding stuff & try to note most everything that should matter to buyers. All 12" vinyl on ebay is automatically listed as 33 1/3 rpm & 7" vinyl as 45 rpm (to save time on listing all this stuff) if you need to confirm speed on a specific item please ask & I can go check.
