JUDY HENSKE and JERRY YESTER   Farewell Aldebaran    vinyl LP STRAIGHT STS 1052   UK STEREO   1969 

I have acquired a large  collection of wonderful PINK FLOYD & CLASSIC ROCK LPs from a very keen and dedicated source

They are all mostly from the late 60s to late 80s - Something of a Golden Age in rock  recording

All records are inspected very carefully and 

Gradings are based on Record Collector magazine.

I try to only offer recordings in a minimum of excellent Condition unless it is something particularly rare when I will do my best to describe any visual or audible flaws

Condition  Sleeve is just under Excellent with very light rim wear on bottom front and rear edge and a tiny inscription in biro MAKA on the top edge rear sleeve
Side One  Visually Excellent - plays Excellent Side Two Visually Just under Excellent there is a surface mark of some 4 cm across the last 3 tracks  which was inaudible on my deck (A goldring Lencko) And Audibly Excellent 
 

Farewell Aldebaran is a strangely overlooked LP

Farewell Aldebaran by Judy Henske and Jerry Yester   is an album issued in 1969 on  Frank Zappa's s innovative Straight record label. 

It contains a wild mixture of styles, as though recorded by ten different bands, all featuring Henske's almost gothic lyrics and remarkable vocal range, 

which might lead one to think there were also ten different singers. Instrumentally the songs are held together by Yester's piano. The album, which 

has achieved a cult following, is also notable for its early use of synthesizers  . Although the album got some good reviews it failed to sell in 

large quantities, purchasers possibly having been driven away by its sheer eclecticism.

In my view ( unreliable I know ) some of this is extraordinary - I would rate this one of the best albums of the 60s

Deeply Rare now - particularly a UK copy -
