Description
(a) WE GRADE THE VINYL AS EXCELLENT (EXC) just a notch below NEAR MINT MINUS. Under bright light there are a few very minor superficial marks (mainly sleeve marks) are VISIBLE, but they appear insignificant relative to the overall condition of the vinyl, and are not visually distracting. The vinyl looks impeccable. The original luster is completely intact, and the vinyl shines and sparkles.
(b) The record is pressed on a beautiful thick, inflexible vinyl, which was usually used for the first or very early pressings. Usually, the sound on such thick vinyl pressings is full-bodied, vivid, and even dramatic. Do not expect to obtain such a majestic analog sound from a digital recording!
(c) Of course, this is a full-bodied ANALOG recording, and not an inferior, digital recording!!!
(d) We grade the cover as EXCELLENT (EXC). There is hardly any shelf ware. The spine is in excellent shape, see pics. This is a thick cardboard cover, American style.
(e) This is the original Stereo pressing.
(f) Original blue & white BLUE NOTE RECORDS deep groove label with New York address.
(g) hand etched matrix number on both sides in dead wax area.
(h) machine stamped "VAN GELDER" (Rudy Van Gelder) and "STEREO" in deadwax area.
