HERE'S LITTLE RICHARD by Little Richard (Specialty Records)

We recently closed our French Quarter store, Louie's Juke Joint, and have decided to liquidate our LP stock on Ebay!

Unless otherwise noted, all of the LPs we are offering are used. Our grading system for each LP is strictly visual, as we don't have time to listen to each record from beginning to end. Unless otherwise stated, there is usually a small price sticker affixed somewhere on the back cover.

This is the one. This is the original SP-100 mono 1957 LP. Valued in Rockin' Records Price Guide at $300-$500.

Details: Specialty SP-100, original mono, label with black perimeter states "Long Playing Micro-Groove", 1957

Condition: Vinyl G (multitude of light scratches, a few deep, no cracks or chips), Jacket Fair Minus (seams are mostly split and repaired with clear tape, various soiling and damage as can be seen in scan)

From the All Music Guide:
Little Richard's debut album wasn't released until more than a year after he first broke through nationally with "Tutti Frutti" in early 1956. By the time Specialty Records got around to introducing him to LP buyers, Little Richard had already scored six Top 40 pop hits. This album didn't contain all of them, but it did contain "Tutti Frutti," "Long Tall Sally," "Slippin' and Slidin' (Peepin' and Hidin')," "Rip It Up," "Ready Teddy," "Jenny, Jenny," and "Miss Ann," all of which had made the pop charts and been in the R&B Top Ten. ("True,Fine Mama," also included, would chart as the B-side of "Ooh! My Soul" a year later.) Thus, Here's Little Richard was more of a compilation than just a debut album, a consistent collection containing many of Little Richard's classic recordings. It was also his highest charting and probably best-selling effort.

The tracks are:
1 Tutti Frutti
2 True Fine Mama
3 Can't Believe You Wanna Leave
4 Ready Teddy
5 Baby
6 Slippin' and Slidin'
7 Long Tall Sally
8 Miss Ann
9 Oh Why?
10 Rip It Up
11 Jenny, Jenny
12 She's Got It
