Check out my other auctions this week for a bunch of rare Soul and R&B LPs! Here’s a rare LP by the Johnny Pate Quintet. It’s on the King label, number 584 from 1958, entitled “Swingin’ Flute”. Pate had a huge hit called “Swinging Shepard Blues”, and that song is contained on this LP. The record and cover are in Near Mint condition… just a superb copy all around. The cover is still in its original loose fitting bag (the pre-cursor to using shrinkwrap on album covers). You won’t find one better than this!! INTERNATIONAL BIDS WELCOME.
