Description
Rare, magical album of poems and songs about fairies and lore by Donovan. I’ve got a massive LP collection and this is my favorite of all of them! (I actually have three including an autographed one I'd never sell.) Very much like the FOR LITTLE ONES album. Discs are ok. Has some surface scuffs here and there (mostly on side 1 if I recall right but also elsewhere in parts), but I ran it on my Denon and it played decently. Some normal pops, etc., for a 50 year old vinyl album, so not mint perfect, but a good, playable album I heard nothing obscene on for its age. I only found one song it skipped a little through, LORD OF THE REEDY RIVER, a song I don’t like anyway, and I didn’t experiment to see if adjusting tracking or weight would overcome the portion it skips through since I hate that song, and it didn't hang up in it. (How that song, or any others, would work on your gear I can’t say; the LP overall was OK on my Denon, which is a high end turntable.) If you have a really nice copy of this album, which regularly sells for more than I'm asking (I saw one with poster sell for $350 recently), this would make a decent play album. RARE WHITE SUNRISE LABEL! (I've never seen another; most are the orange or purple label,) No poster.
I have chosen a clip from QUEEN MAB, one of my favorite songs on it.. (In Donovan's world she's a good fairy, while in my D&D world she's the queen of evil fairies, LOL.) The song plays pretty good. SOME OTHER SONGS PLAY WITH SOME SURFACE NOISE so as I say, this is a decent play album you can listen to and save your minty one, which is what I do with rare albums like this.
