Description

Excellent copy of this HMV box set, with 5 first label (Gold/red) vinyls.  Wilhelm Furtwangler conducts the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, with the cast including Modl, Suthaus, Rysanek, Frantz, Frick and Klose.

The box is not mint - the two top corners of the lid are broken, and it has a generally worn look to it with bits of damage and wear. There are a couple of sticky labels on the front top right and top of the spine to the box. There is a 12 page booklet included, with details of the cast, and background on the story of the opera and so on. (see photos)

On the other hand, the vinyls are superb - apart from some dust and the odd smudge, they show little evidence of having been played. The labels show no signs of spindle trails. each record is in a plastic sleeve, then within it's own paper sleeve. Each of the paper sleeves has a sticky label in the same way as the outside of the box, again this can be seen in the photos.
