Description
Brahms' Violin Concerto in D major, Op.77 featuring the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Rudolf Kempe, with Yehudi Menuhin as the soloist.
This is a rare UK ED1 first pressing with the white and gold labels. Catalogue number is ASD 264.Please use the zoom function on the pictures to see more.
The matrix numbers are:
- A-side runout, stamped: 2YRA 1001-13
- B-side runout, stamped: 2YRA 1002-11
Condition
Grading is based on the Goldmine grading system, using a visual assessment under strong light and an audio assessment. I grade my records realistically and conservatively, as I do not want to disappoint! Please see my feedback!
- The record grades as very good (VG).There are a few light surface marks, almost certainly just sleeve scuffs, which are not feelable. The audio is powerful and punchy, as you would expect from this recording! There is some light surface noise, but no loud pops or repeating clicks.
- The sleeve is in very good (VG) condition. The original gold EMI Stereophonic Recording sticker is undamaged and there are no major creases. Overall, this is a very nice sleeve. The rear is very clean and the top flip back is strong and undamaged. The lower flip back has some damage, which you can see in the pics. I suspect that this is recent damage as the record has clearly been very well looked after. There is a small sticker in the top right front corner.
- Cleaned on an Okki Nokki record cleaning machine and placed in an new anti-statiuc inner. Original inner also included.
- Posted in a 450 gauge protective sleeve and a strong Defendapack Vinyl Max record mailer. records removed from sleeve to prevent splits.
Delivery
Records are securely packaged in a strong Defendapack record mailer, and UK postage includes signed for delivery and insurance. Records are removed from the sleeve before packing to prevent splits.
I also offer local pick up in the East Sussex area.
