HMV ASD 373-5 white/gold – MADAMA BUTTERFLY – De Los Angeles/Bjorling
1960 HMV stereo recording on white/gold labels, catalogue number ASD 373-5. Boxed set of 3 LPs with cast listing leaflet and 52-page small format libretto. Puccini’s opera Madama Butterfly, Victoria de los Angeles, Jussi Bjorling, Miriam Pirazzini, with Gabriele Santini conducting the Orchestra and Chorus of the Rome Opera House.
The 3 discs have an unplayed appearance. Leaflet is grubby and creased; libretto is intact but metal staples are rusty. Box is very scuffed on edges and corners and 2 corners are split.
