Description
1963 release of Schubert's Der Winterreise sung by Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau accompanied by Gerald Moore on piano.
- side one has a smudge at 10-30 in song 2 which has no impact on the audio quality. Had a couple of static/dust related minor ticks last time I played it but definitely at least Ex+. It does need to be kept dust free so could do with a wipe after each play.
- sides two and three near perfect audio so both sides rated Ex++.
- The original PVC protective outer has the Henry Stave seal (which is somewhat worn as can be seen in the picture). The jackets are therefore in excellent condition though the one for the 1st record has remnants of personal catalogue tags (see picture). The original inners are in excellent condition as is the lyric insert.
- As well as the original PVC protective outer which has a small blemish on the front (see the main picture), I will include a new PVC gatefold outer in the event of a sale.
- Overall rating side one Ex+ sides two and three Ex++ jackets Ex.
- My Riga tone arm tends to shoot to the middle of record one after it finishes but so far I have not let it bounce back so I don't know whether it would or not.
