Description
I'm selling my collection of John Coltrane LPs - a rare opportunity to add these classic albums to your collection.
This one is a rare NM copy of The New Wave in Jazz LP recorded live in March 1965 at a concert put on at the Village Gate in celebration of black culture, and released on HMV in the UK in 1966. Artists include Archie Shepp, Albert Ayler, Donald Ayler, Grachan Moncur, James Spaulding & Charles Oliver as well as the established Coltrane quartet (with Jimmy Garrison, Elvin Jones & McCoy Tyner). This is the UK issue on the HMV black/red label - matrix nos. A 90 A-1/A 90 B-1. A fabulous recording - don't miss this one!
