It is some time since I listed on EBay, but it is now time for an early autumn clear-out !

I have bought and sold a good quantity of classical vinyl on EBay, over the years, but first and foremost I am a collector. Periodic sales create space and fund more purchases of my own…

As always, I have endeavoured to cater for a wide range of tastes, with a good number of SXL /SAX / ASD Serial No’s, together with a good proportion of violin and cello works.

There will also be a very diverse section, containing some very rare ‘World Music’ recordings.

Gradings

My gradings avoid the bewildering array of some (!) Obvious, visible marks to vinyl will be fully described and sound-checked. The gradings will be either:

Near Mint – 

VINYL - as good as you can expect with pre-owned vintage vinyl. Negligible surface marks and sound quality such be close to flawless, barring occasional dust-induced light static.

SLEEVES – has clearly been stored correctly, no stains, seam splits of worn corners.

Excellent –

VINYL – some light visible marks, some giving occasional ‘tics & pops’ – some may be briefly recurring. Sound quality should be excellent, barring occasional, brief flaws

SLEEVES – some signs of wear to edges and corners. Some light age-staining. Some ink-marks from collectors’ notes / indexes. Some evidence of adhesive labels being removed.

Very Good +  -

VINYL - Some obvious and (at times) unsightly marks. However, all will be sound-checked and will not detract from sound quality. However, this grading will mean that there IS some sound degradation, with some recurring ‘tics’, sporadic ‘pops’ and some background noise.

SLEEVES –Starting to show their age, stains, seam splits, writing in ink, and clear wear to edges.

Very Good –

I am unlikely to list many recordings at this level of wear. If I do, it will be because they are particularly rare and collectable.

Starting Prices

All listings will start at an exceptionally low starting price with no reserves. The idea is to sell these items, so I will trust the auction to find a satisfactory value.

P & P

I do not intend to profit from postage & packaging charges. Having conducted a little market research on Ebay listings, postage prices vary alarmingly, so I have set my rate at the sensible level ! All charges will reflect the fact that your purchase will be packed in a new plastic outer sleeve and posted in a purpose-built card transport sleeve with a minimum of 2 x stiffeners.

Standard LP = GB - £3.25 .... Europe ... £6.00 .... Rest of World - £8.00

NB - If item sells for more than GB £20.00 then an additional insurance premium will be required, payable by the buyer.

Returns / Refunds

A little perturbed at the number of times I hear of people ‘switching’ records or sleeves and then returning… However, I offer a 100% “good faith” refund policy, where I will fully reimburse dissatisfied buyers,on the safe return of the item.

The nature of my listing means that buyers will often purchase multiple items. This can lead to substantial savings on postage, particularly for Overseas buyers. I actively encourage you to do so but, please, let me know if that is your intention ?
