HONEY CONE featuring Sharon Cash - "SOMEBODY IS ALWAYS MESSING UP A GOOD THING / THE TRUTH WILL COME OUT" is a 1976 Northern Soul single on Hot Wax. This 7" black vinyl record features members of the Funk Brothers and is a first edition import from the United States. The A-side is conducted by arranger Michael Smith and produced by Michael Smith and Brian Holland, while the B-side is produced by Brian Holland. Both sides very much associated with the Holland - Dozier - Holland Sound Studio`s out of Detroit, Michigan.
Sharon Cash`s vocals are featured on both tracks with the support from Carolyn Willis, Edna Wright, and Shelly Clark. Two very upbeat dancers aimed at the American disco market, yet both where embraced by Northern Soul DJ`s in the UK. Both the lyrics and quality of the musical direction and production which consists of a full orchestra, brass, swirling strings and those thumping drums are bang on point for the new Northern Soulies across the UK and beyond.
