Description

Prestige 7230

Original mono press from 1962 of first and only album by fine and little-known bop-styled singer. Highlights include "Strollin'" co-written by Charles Mingus and backup includes Jaki Byard on piano and Wally Richardson on guitar.

Vinyl is VG+++*, with high gloss and a few small, light handling marks.

Laminated cover has a 2" split on top and moderate edgewear. Back has light friction wear and a stamp (see photo below).

Yellow and black deep groove labels are clean (see photos below).

VAN GELDER is machine stamped in the dead wax.
