Artist: HORACE TAPSCOTT
Title: “Songs of the Unsung”
Label: INTERPLAY. Stereo pressing on medium weight vinyl. Label is silver with black text. Catalog number is IP 7714.
Year: 1978.
NOTE: This came from a large collection stored for many years by an individual associated with the radio station at a historically black university back in the mid 1970s-early ’80s. Most appear to have been sampled once, or appear unplayed. Guaranteed to be original and not a modern repro. I will be listing additional albums from this collection in the coming weeks, so please check back for additional rare titles.
Condition:
DISC: NM- with full original gloss. Has been played a small number of times and handled with care. There are a couple very slight hairline paper scuffs (not audible), no audible marks or issues whatsoever. Plays beautifully with superb fidelity. Labels are clean. This hard-to-find LP is one that you will never need to upgrade.
Those who have previously purchased items from this amazing collection over the past 2 months will attest to their impeccable condition. I will be sorry when they are all gone.
JACKET: Jacket is VG+ with no major problems. Front panel shows some ring wear. Seams show some light wear, and left side of top seam is showing some chipping. Reverse has a few traces of ring wear. No writing, stickers or cut-out indications. Overall a very presentable jacket to accompany the nice disc.
