Description
This is a Very Rare Copy of the Debut Lp by Horslips released in the Uk In 1972 on the Oats Label Cat No MOO 3 in its original Octagonal Sleeve.
It was first released in Ireland by the end of 1972 as their debut album. Before this, they had released the same year three singles: Johnny's Wedding/Flower among Them All and Green Gravel/Fairy King in Ireland and The High Reel/Furniture overseas. Happy to Meet - Sorry to Part was also released the following year in the UK. This is widely considered to be the first celtic rock album ever recorded. With this, Horslips took the lead in Irish music of the time and created an original mixture from traditional Irish tunes and rock music. The album's name itself is that of an Irish jig.
The very unusual octagonal sleeve is in very good condition with a slight tear at the top of the Spine and some light storage wear. It still opens as it should and the booklet is still attached and in excellent condition.
The Vinyl has a great sheen and looks great. Under a strong light i can see some very light marks so i am happy to visually grade as Very Good+. I have played the Lp at a loud volume nad iy plays really well. There are no skips or jumps just some light static background noise and the one or two light ticks. I am happy to grade the Audio as Very Good.
The Labels are in Excellent condition.
Overall a very rare record that does not come up for sale very often in Very Good condition.

Grading:- MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
