*^%$#! CAT! Maybe she didn’t like the ‘Dog’ in Hound Dog, or maybe she didn’t like the Blues, but the cat wreaked havoc on the spines of a bunch of records (see photo). Other than the spine the record is great! Sounds great, looks great, plays just like it did when it came out in 1973. Originally recorded in 1971 (the very 1st release from Alligator Records) this is the green label pressing that came out in 1973.
Described as "wild, raucous, crazy music straight out of the South Side clubs", and "one of the greatest slide guitar albums of all time"… "loud, harsh, boxy and exciting"…"electronic gutbucket from the Chicago blues bars, the rawest record I've heard in years.”
All records were ultrasonically cleaned and then put in 3-ply, anti-static, archival quality record sleeves just prior to listing.
