I’ve been collecting records since 1958 and it’s now time to pass on these great rockin’ sounds.

Super-rare 50-year old LP!!.....This is the original issue on Fontana (NOT a reissue on Wing etc)….from 1962. Saxman Howie was in at the birth of Merseybeat and played in Hamburg, before signing to Fontana making them the first Liverpool group to record an LP. They featured Derrie Wilkie and a young vocalist called Freddy Fowell, later to find fame as Freddy Starr.

Howie Casey – Tenor Sax / Brian Griffiths – Guitar / Philip Whitehead – Bass / Frank Wibberley – drums / Derrie Wilkie or Freddy Fowell – Vocals.

The LP has some light marks, none serious. Cleaned on my vinyl machine it plays very well and the music cuts through fine. The Flipback sleeve is great – couple of marks on the front & back, that’s all. No rips, splits or writing.
