Description
An absolute classic blues album - an original 60's black label, deep groove pressing of CHESS LP 1469 - HOWLIN' WOLF! Includes original recolrdings of "Spoonful", "Shake For Me", "Wang Dang Doodle", "Red Rooster", "Back Door Man" and more!! Recorded in Chicago at the legendary Chess studios from 1959 to 1962 by the Wolf himself with all star (albeit uncredited) support. The disc is pretty much VG+.....has minor signs of handling and wear but hasn't been overplayed or abused in any way - one scuff across 2 tracks but they play great. Vinyl and labels look terrific. The cover is fully intact with NO splits (unusual for heritage Chess covers which are notorious for splits). Cover shows minor storage wear , a warehouse stamp on the back that reads "CO-A" and a tiny "3.98" hand written in pencil in the back/upper right corner. Hard to find album in any kind of decent shape and this record and cover are excellent!
