Description
This is the ultra-rare original 1962 press of "Howling Wolf Sings the Blues" on Crown records, containing his recordings for RPM and other recordings that are not on the Chess LPs. This is the first press with the color label - not the later reissue with the white label. The jacket would be classified as poor due to the seam splits on all sides, tape, and back cover stains, but as you can see, the front cover looks pretty nice. The LP is in good condition - a tear on the label on one side and light scratches throughout, but it sounds nice on my turntable with a mono switch. These companies were not using virgin vinyl in those days, so even a brand new record out of the sleeve would have surface noise. Sorry, no buyers in Texas allowed - any buyers purchasing with a Texas address will have their payment refunded. Check out my other auctions for more rare items.
