Description

HUNGER - STRICTLY FROM HUNGER-LP reissue of 1969-psychedelic  Rock-Akarma-foc-Klappcover

A new vinyl edition of this semi-classic US psych-rock LP, recorded by a band from Portland that was active in LA's late '60s scene. Originally released on Bill Holmes' All American Records, the material more or less sounds like a somewhat dark mixture of The Doors and Strawberry Alarm Clock, two bands for which Hunger had played support shows. Although this clearly was a talented bunch, with the right underground attitude, they never achieved the success they deserved. The fact that the band's equipment was stolen by one of its members didn't help either. This reissue comes in a pasted gatefold sleeve.
