Description
Rare private press LP from Chicago-area band HYE-STARS, recorded in 1974 at Pumpkin Studios in Palos Hills, Illinois. Promotional release disc.
This one is genuinely obscure and has that great raw early-70s garage/hard rock energy — including covers of:
* “25 or 6 to 4” (Chicago)
* “Cold Turkey” (John Lennon)
* “Whole Lotta Love” (Led Zeppelin)—- this one is fantastic!
* “Blue Suede Shoes”
* “Color My World”
Really cool local/private-press vibe with homemade production, bold orange labels, and a striking sunset cover design. These kinds of regional rock LPs have developed a strong collector following, especially when they were self-issued in tiny quantities.
Condition
Vinyl: Visually VG+ overall. Nice gloss with light surface marks/scuffs visible under bright light. No deep gouges seen. Plays very clean. Labels are clean.
Cover: VG condition with light edge wear, corner wear, and some handling/storage wear. No major splits.
