Hagood's impeccable musical taste stems greatly from his many years in the company of George Shearing (with whom he made 5 albums) ... Herbie Mann (5 albums) and Hawaii's Martin Denny (3 albums).
In the 2 1/2 years since the Montage was born, H.H. & M. have been compiling an impressive list of credits via club and concert appearances in Europe, Canada, the U.S. and West Indies, also starring on the Barbara McNair and Like Young TV series.
Their single recording ... Just a Little Loving ... was a Cash Box "pick of the week", and at this writing is still ... almost one year later ... high on most radio stations' playlists. (liner notes)
