Description
This is a
Half Speed Mastered LP
of
Tchaikovsky's
Concerto No. 1 in B Flat Minor, Op. 23
with performances by
Van Cliburn - Piano
and
orchestra conducted by
Kiril Kondrashin
(RCA Records ARP1-4441) (1981)
(Originally released as LSC-2252) (1958)
------
It was one of the .5 series of 1/2 speed mastered albums that RCA did for a very short while in the early '80's. These forgotten gems were remastered versions of some of the best music in the RCA catalog and pressed on Teldec vinyl. In this case, it was remastered from the original 1969 RCA Living Stereo multi-track master tapes.
----------
The jacket is in beautiful condition with no splits, bends, cuts or promo holes. There are no rips or tears in the shrink wrap. There is a hype sticker on the front bragging about it being a Europadisk audiophile pressing. It looks just like it did when it was released over 35 years ago.
