This is the true first pressing of the original Halloween soundtrack (1978), composed by John Carpenter and performed by the Bowling Green Jr. Philharmonic Orchestra.

The U.S. first pressing was not released until 1983, making this the first and only pressing of the original Halloween soundtrack available prior to that release.

What makes this record especially unique is that it features alternate performances of John Carpenter’s compositions, created specifically for this soundtrack. While very close to the versions heard in the film, these tracks were separately performed by the Bowling Green Jr. Philharmonic Orchestra, giving them a distinct yet unmistakably classic synth-driven feel exclusive to this release. For years, these versions were often mistaken for the originals.

  • Jacket is in excellent shape and includes the original obi strip

  • No seam splits; only a minor corner ding

  • Includes insert; insert has minor staining but nothing significant
