Up for auction here is an Original Box With 21 RCA Victor Red Seal 45 rpm Records. Collector's Issue. The set of records is from handel: the messiah. NOTE>>> I am no expert on grading records. So I can Only tell you what I see. I personally checked both sides of all 21 records by holding them up towards the light of the daylight coming through the window. Carefully holding them by the hole & outer edges I examined them & did not see any scratches which leads me to think that they have maybe never been played or if so, very little. They are a very beautiful ruby red like color. They have a gold seal label. On the labels it reads: COLLECTOR'S ISSUE, RCA VICTOR, RED SEAL RECORD. Recorded in Europe. Made in USA. When I found this Awesome set, they were all in the box with the lid closed but over the years they have accumulated some light dust & lint on the first couple records on top. I am sure that all of them have some lint but I never attempted to clean them because I don't know the correct method & I didn't want to scratch them. This is something the new owner can do. I don't know the age of them but I believe them to maybe be from the 50's. The box is in overall nice condition. It shows some age, handling & shelf wear. Mainly just some light scuffing on the lid. The hinge is made of paper & it is not ripped but shows some wear from opening & closing. On the lid it reads: Complete, handel: the messiah, sir thomas beecham, bart. and the royal philharmonic orchestra with chorus and soloists. RCA Victor Red Seal Collector's issue. An album from THE TREASURY OF IMMORTAL PERFORMANCES "45". This box of records is old so it does have that old musty smell when you open it. These records never had a sleeve when I found them so I don't know if that was the way they originally came out or not. The centers are raised so being stacked in the box, they don't get scratched but before shipping them I will cut individual round pieces of paper & place between each one to take precaution.
