Description
Hank Mobley Quintet orig. Blue Note LP for sale in this 7 day auction ending this Thursday night. Record = VG ; Sleeve = EX. Blue Note BLP 1550 Ruth Van Gelder "9M" deep groove mono, 1957 1st pressing from 47 West 63rd Street. The record has been fully play tested and sounds great on my turntable taking account for the occasional pops. There is a repeating skip during one rotation on side 2 / song 1 which sounds pretty shallow as it plays straight through it sometimes without repeating. The record has some marks and scratches here and there onto both sides, I grade it at quite a solid VG in its present state. The record has never been cleaned or restored in any way and would probably do quite well in a VPI machine cleaning, (I do not own one). Original record moulding from when it was pressed still on the vinyl. Jacket is beautiful, EX- or EX, slight corner wear at the openings but NO seam splitting and a crisp front and backside, very clean and a nice glossy sheen still on the cover.
