Description
Hank Mobley / Roll call
Reissue by Classic Records / Blue Note BN 4058 Mono
Out of print
Quiex Vinyl 200 Gramm
Arguably one of Hank Mobley's biggest Blue Note releases and another in the Classic Blue Note Signature Series. Art Blakey, Freddie Hubbard, Wynton Kelly, and Paul Chambers sit in on "Roll Call", "My Groove Your Move", "Take Your Pick", "A Baptist Beat", "The More I see You", and "The Breakdown". This Van Gelder recording was transferred from the original two track master tape heeding the instructions on the box to combine the two tracks 50/50 for the Mono. Cutting was by as usual done by Bernie "Be Bop" Grundman using Classic's "all tube" pure mono cutting system and pressed on Quiex 200g Super Vinyl Profile.
