Description
This is part of a large auction featuring R&B, doo-wop and blues singles from several small independent labels of the 1950's/early 60's.

Release: The Dixieaires - Traveling All Alone / I'm Not Like I Used to Be
Format: 45 rpm 7" single
Year: 1954
Notes: Black & yellow label first pressing. The last single by this early vocal group out of New York. Tough to find 7" version of this one. The A-side is a light vocal in the doo-wop style. The b-side though is a killer, a big jump blues with excellent sax work and call & response vocals.
Vinyl Condition: ??, The vinyl itself is in pretty good shape here. The problem is that there is a chip on the edge. The chip doesn't affect play at all, it slightly cuts into first lead-in groove, but you can place the needle on the second and it plays great. B-side does have an area of scuffing. This is also cosmetic and DNAP. Labels are pretty clean with no writing or stickers, just some light ring scuffing.
The play grade is probably VG+, at least very strong VG. The chip is obviously a downgrade, but I just don't know how much.
Sleeve Condition: VG, has a blank sleeve that I believe is original. Has some minor wrinkling and a small pencil number. No tears/splits/writing.
All records I sell have been personally cleaned and play tested. Check back in late-January for a rock 'n roll/rockabilly auction and a very cool selection of 78's after that.
