Up for Auction is "House On Elm Street" by Harold Johnson Sextet. HME Records Los Angeles. HME 101-5-67
A super find for any Jazz collector, especially if you are collecting US/Los Angeles LPs.
Jacket cover: Has shrink wrap, cut at right-hand upper corner of LP, the plastic shrink is separating at that point. Also shrink is open at bottom edge about 1.5 inches with a crease to corner. Wear to edges and bumps to corners. Nothing horrible for its age. Notch hole under shrink in upper left corner. Price sticker has writing on it of previous owners name. (States to hold the item for this man "til whenever" - kinda sad to think, he at one point in his life really wanted this LP and got it - and I know why. I listened to parts of this LP at a local shop to check condition. Sounds are AWESOME!) Wear ring beginning to show on front of LP.
LP condition: Has dust cover sleeve, no scratches noted. Thick vinyl. Vinyl looks like it has a film on it on both sides, but an LP expert told me no, some LPs looked like that from the 60s/70s. I am not an expert. So I will take his word. I heard parts played of the LP in his shop, I heard no noise. Sounds great to me.
This album is from an Estate, this man was a HUGE R&B and SOUL fan. We have found some Funk, Jazz, and oldies in the mix as well.
