Description
Hi and thank you for viewing my auction. I am clearing out a large quantity of my vinyl collection some of which is rare and collectible. I will aim to give an honest appraisal of the condition of each record and sleeve as well as giving a realistic opening price for auction items.
Much of the vinyl I am selling is from the 70's and 80's, including funk, disco, Tamla Motown and Soul. There will be several demos and promos amongst them, some of which may be difficult to value so you never know, you may pick a rare, collectible item at a bargain price.
Sold items will be despatched as soon as possible after purchase and proof of postage will always be obtained in case of any issues arising.
Here is a rare 12-track 12" LP on the much revered and collectible UK Coxsone label, normally associated with blue beat and reggae. This album "From Jamaica With Love" is by Harry Sweeting and contains a collection of calypso and (Jamaican) folk music. The tracks on the album are:
A1 From Jamaica With Love A2 The Courtesy Calypso A3 Greensleeves A4 The Parson & The Spirit A5 Scarlet Ribbons A6 The Drunkard's Psalm B1 Yellow Bird B2 People Will Talk B3 My Mothers Hands B4 Education Crisis B5 Jamaican Woman B6 Female Psychology
The album is in very good condition with shiny vinyl- it looks almost unplayed. The sleeve is fairly good, showing some age marks, creasing and writing on the back (as shown in picture 5), though for an album that's 48 year sold, it's perfectly acceptable. Only selling this as I rarely play calypso tunes, so someone out there will no doubt enjoy it more than me. It's a rarity that is seldom seen on eBay (as is usual for the Coxsone label). And for blue beat fans, this album features Coxsone recording artists The Gaylads and the Soul Brothers Orchestra.
Bid up and you may win a bargain! Good luck!
Payment will be by PayPal only within three days of auction ending please and I despatch to the UK only. I will post next working day after payment. Usual ebay rules apply - please bid to buy and thanks again for looking.
