Description
You don’t see this one often - Monster rare original first pressing of this psych prog classic. The very earliest issue of Hawkwind’s ground breaking debut. A real classic LP.
This is the ultra rare first stereo pressing on Liberty records 45 with that so hard to find two tone blue and cyan record label with catalogue number LBS833348. TheMatrix / Runout on Side A is LBS 83348 A//1 and on Side B is LBS 83348 B//1.
It is with great regret that I choose to part with this, but sadly I need the money more. Hope it goes to a good home.
CONDITION:
COVER – VERY GOOD - The gatefold sleeve is in nice condition, apart from being a little tatty around the edges. There are no splits and the spine is intact, but it is a little worn. Unfortunately a name has been written in ink in the left hand corner on the back sleeve, but thankfully it is not over any of the artwork (please see photo).
RECORD - NEAR MINT TO EXCELLENT - The vinyl looks as if it has hardly been played. The labels are clean and vibrant and the black vinyl has a glossy shine to it. There is one hairline scratch on the first track of side two but this does not affect play and probably just caused by removal from the inner sleeve. There are some light spindle marks, but otherwise, this is a perfect copy. You will be hard pushed to find another in such great condition. Any marks seen in the photos are not on the vinyl, but reflections or smudges on my camera lens.
INNER SLEEVE - GOOD - The original inner sleeve is yellowing with age, but it is over 40 years old. There are also some brown age stains, but the record will be packed in an additional brand new white inner sleeve.
The record shall be sent to the lucky winner very well packaged and in a protective sleeve. Due to the rarity of the record, I'm afraid I will only send by registered post. Collection welcomed.
