Description

An original 1st press of DFL on the UK UA label from 1972. Matrix A2/B2 - very 1st cut. Etchings "Porky/Pecko". Stampers 1-RM/1-RH [1st mothers..good provenance]. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original cover with the bespoke designed inner sleeve. NO poster though -sorry!
Vinyl (Ex+) In lovely shape and has clearly been looked after very carefully. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of light marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are real nice and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. I'm often left a little disappointed with many copies on this title. But I have to say this copy is really much better preserved than what I've witnessed previously. Maybe Hawkwind fans are a tad careless.. it's possible! It's a clean player with no annoying background....just the hum and drone of Hawkwind! You might detect a couple of crackles in a couple of isolated moments per side. But this is about as good as it's realistically possible to go!
Cover (Ex-) Not too shabby at all and they can turn up worse for wear. A pretty clean with a touch of that ring wear -but nothing that noticeable. The rear is looking pretty good too with just a couple of scratches. Edge wear is light for this title and the openings are still sharp. The spine is pretty much 100% intact with all text legible. That's something you don't often find. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Ex-) There's one 1.cm. bottom edge split. Otherwise nice!
