A rare chance to acquire one of the legendary rarities of progressive rock!
Issued by United Artists in 1973; cat # WD 3637; this is the legendary one-sided promo only “Sonic Attack” by Hawkwind.
This copy was found whilst we were looking through our DJ’s actual DJ boxes - he used it as padding to protect the records he used in clubs! That’s why there is a blue ringmark on one side of the cloth bag – from Stateside sleeves perhaps?
I suspect if you used a soft soap you could clean the sleeve, but I am not brave enough to attempt this!
So how can you tell an original copy of “Sonic Attack” from a bootleg? Well, the catalogue number stamped into the dead vinyl along with the tax code “KT”. You also have a plastic covering to the label. The record is presented in a dark blue paper sleeve inside the cloth bag.
The cloth bag has an air of mustiness to it – so would you if you were stuck in a wooden box for 30 years. Aside from the ringmark, the sleeve is in excellent condition. The vinyl itself has the deep lustre of a “proper” 45 on heavy vinyl and is in at least near mint condition.
If you looking for rare, obscure or simply MINT 45’s - you’ve found heaven!

Insurance will be required if the value of the order exceeds £34. If you refuse insurance and the record is damage or goes missing in the post, I’m afraid we cannot be held responsible and will not entertain any claims. UK record delivery is an extra 70p and special delivery is £4.75. Overseas insurance will be either £3.50 or £5.50 dependent upon the value.
Payment by PayPal is preferred for all customers; though I will accept cheques or postal orders for UK customers. Overseas customers must pay by Paypal unless agreed otherwise prior to auction end.
