Description

Original UK United Artists/Liberty labels of the first stereo press. This is Hawkwind's fifth UK LP and the first recorded before touring the songs and the last before Lemmy was sacked on the supporting tour. Many of the lyrics are by Michael Moorcock and the album is loosely based on Moorcock's novel The Eternal Champion. With the foldout Chaos shield cover, lyric inner and the earliest A-1U B-1U matrices & 1-R 1-O stampers of the first few hundred copies pressed in May 1975!
 

The matt foldout poster sleeve is intact & in EX condition, with some light corner/edge wear and some light storage rubbing on the outer cover, the inner shield is intact and in EX+ condition. The spine is intact and fully readable, the brown lyric inner is intact & in EX condition.

The record is in visually EX condition, with only a couple of faint & wispy sleeve removal hairlines on side 1 and a few more hairlines and one or two light needle scuffs on side 2. The labels are in EX condition, clean & bright with evidence of a couple of faint spindle markings on each side.   The sound reproduction is EX, still clear & precise throughout with no loud pops, hiss or crackle & definately no skips, sticks or jumps, with some brief background noise during the run in grooves and a really great loud & clear listen!   The matrix nos. are; UAG-29766, A-1U mother stamper 1-R, B-1U mother stamper 1-O. This is one of earliest first few hundred copies of the first pressing of the original UK stereo issue of this classic 1975 album!
