Description
The music: original issues of Decca's planned complete Haydn Symphonies of which only ten of the series of fifteen were ever completed. All ten are included here and cover all the symphonies up to number 75, plus two partitas. Recorded between 1988 and 1995.
Something of a collector's item for the CD artwork alone, though the performances on original instruments give a lot of pleasure too. There is no complete set of all the 104 symphonies played on contemporary instruments; this one by C.Hogwood is more or less the nearest available, also in reissued form, at the current time.
Condition: obviously no longer literally 'new', but there are very few marks of any kind on the CDs, the booklets or the crystal CD cases and only very minimal wear on one or two of the card sleeves. 'One careful owner'. They have been stored and treated gently. There are no breakages and nothing is missing.
Free postage and packing. 'Collect' courier. Standard Service typically 2 working days.
