Cook E Jarr – “Red Balloon” b/w “Darling Be Home Soon” (RCA 9708). Good end of 1968 folk rock release by the Los Vegas institution (real name Anthony Pettine). “Red Balloon” is a Tim Hardin penned cut and is backed with a cover of the Lovin' Spoonful song.) Cook E. Jarr was based out of Philadelphia when he started, but played Vegas in 69, found he enjoyed lounge performances, and moved on to Atlantic City through the 70s. He returned to Vegas in 1982 where he has been actively performing continuously since (and has developed a cult following.) Record is a dj copy in strong VG+ condition.
