The Saints – I'm Stranded b/w No time (Power Exchange 242). Good Winter of 1976 release by this Australian rock band formed in Brisbane in 1973 by Chris Bailey (guitar and vocals) Ed Kuepper (guitar) and Ivor Hay (drums). They were considered an early punk band, and the first outside of the US to release a record (their debut single, in September 1976). Regarding the 1977 date on the labels, the original plan was for a January 1977 release but a deal was struck between Ed Kuepper and Power Exchange for some advance copies to be exclusively distributed by Bizarre Records from 10th December 1976. Bizarre had been importing Australian copies until stock ran out. Polydor had an option to take over distribution early if sales were strong, which they did a week later. Power Exchange is a UK label. Take a listen to both sides. Record is in VG+ condition and cover is in VG
