Description
Glen Madison – “ Why Do You Have to Go’ b/w “When You Dance” (Ebony 105). The Delcos were one of a handful of acts recorded by the legendary Juanita Henderson who was a songwriter and manager of local Mishawaka, IN, pop talent who couldn't get any of the majors interested in her stable. She set up her own label and publishing company as a result. The Delcos hit pay dirt with the single "Arabia" in 1962, which was later re-released by Showcase, Monument's subsidiary and became a northern soul classic. This 1963 release credits Glenn Madison as a solo singer, but the whole group were on the recording and the group does fantastic renditions of two songs originally made popular by other groups (The Dells and the Turbans). Record is in M- condition. Postage & insurance will be paid by purchaser.
