Heart Dreamboat Annie Nautilus Half-Speed Mastered dbx encoded LP flawless w/ all inserts.
As you are doubtless aware if you clicked on this listing, in order to hear this record as it was intended to be heard, you need to have an outboard dbx decoder in order to unlock the full dynamic range of this pressing. I do not have a dbx decoder, but I played the first track on this album, “Magic Man,” and it sounds good *without* a decoder. I presume it sounds even better if you do have the decoder. The vinyl is flawless, flat, glossy, and scratch free.
The laminated? gatefold sleeve is also glossy and flawless, better looking than the sleeve on stock pressings of this LP.
All inserts are present, including an explanation of how the dbx process works, a catalog of other Nautilus titles, and the original lyric/credits insert present in stock pressings of this LP.
Also present is the original Nautilus “Super Sleeve,” a plastic inner sleeve somewhat similar to the Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab inner sleeves. There is a seam split at the bottom of the Super Sleeve. This is the one visible flaw I note with this LP. I have placed the LP in a new white paper inner sleeve in order to prevent further damage to the original Super Sleeve.
