ITEM DESCRIPTION:
This handsome LP from RCA (LSB-4072 / LSC-3233(e), English pressing, Red Seal label, mono, glossy laminated jacket) features one of the great violin bon-bon albums: 'Heifetz Encores' Vol. 1. Many of these arrangements, at turns charming and brilliant, were made by Heifetz himself. He is partnered throughout by either Brooks Smith* or Emanuel Bay, splendid pianists both.
Incidentally, the wonderful cover art reproduces Al Hirschfeld's inimitable drawing of Heifetz.

There is tremendous personality and imagination behind the playing, with Heifetz on his most dazzling, and smiling, form. An essential part of any violin collection – wonderful!
Incidentally, there are fine liner notes on the reverse side of the jacket, provided in English only and uncredited.
CONDITION:
The gradations of condition I use are as follows: MINT, Near-Mint, Excellent, Very Good, Good, Fair, Poor.
The condition of the jacket is EXCELLENT. There is slight bumping/wear at corners, as well as some mild discoloration to the rear panel, but that is all. There are no seamsplits, bends, or owners' markings, and the album remains very solid, bright, glossy, and extremely attractive in appearance – overall, an excellent collector's copy.
The condition of the LP itself is near-MINT and plays without defect – a truly fine collector's copy.
