Henry Allen Jr. and His Orchestra on Victor 38080 in "E+" condition, very close to "N-". Did Miles Davis ever hear this record, to find out what a real trumpet player sounds like? Magical, tour de force playing both sides. We have seldom heard such totally powerful, magnificent jazz. Record is a hauntng, spine-chilling, completely classicall work of high art.
