Description
Prestige Bluesville 1041, “Tired of Being Mistreated” with Henry Townsend, vocals and guitar, with Tommy Bankhead, second guitar; from 1961. This is the trident-label pressing from 1964. The vinyl plays at NM with virtually no background sound. The jacket is about VG+ with light wear on the top and bottom seams but no splitting; the spine has little wear and well-centered print; the jacket back is very clean, and there are no writing or stamps. This is on anyone’s top-ten list of Bluesville issues. Songs are “Cairo Is My Baby’s Home”, “Tired of Bein’ Mistreated”, “Rocks Have Been My Pillow”, “The Train Is Coming”, “She Just Walked Away”, “I Asked Her If She Loved Me”, “I Got Tired”, “My Home Ain’t Here”, “All My Money Gone”, “She Drove Me to Drinking”, and “My Baby Have Come Back”. Shipping is $4.00 media mail, $8.00 priority mail within the continental U.S.; $20.00 regular airmail to the U.K., Europe, Japan, Korea, and Australia; elsewhere inquire. Additional LPs in a single package are $1.00 per LP domestic, $2.00 elsewhere. For overseas shipments, I strongly recommend registered mail for $12.00 extra. Many old records are now practically antiques and should be treated that way. This LP will be packaged with the record inside an inner sleeve but outside the jacket; both are placed inside a sealed outer sleeve and shipped inside a special oversized handcrafted mailer with padding on all sides. It is designed thick enough not to be caught in a postal conveyor belt and strong enough to withstand a drop from a second-story window with no damage to LP or jacket. More than two LPs may be mailed together in a heavy Bags Unlimited pizza-style box. Your LP should arrive in the same condition as on the day it was shipped. All used LPs are play-graded on a VPI turntable with Audioquest tonearm and Grado cartridge.
