Description

Herbie Hancock Empyrean Isles with Freddie Hubbard, Ron Carter, Anthony Williams. Condition is used. I believe this is the 1973 release. Bought this a while back and never really played it as I had the cd. I would say it’s a grade of VG-/G+ Certainly background noise on side two at least and some pops. Some ring wear and water damage maybe on cover. Still a collectors item if you don’t want to pay several hundred for an earlier version.



Recorded on June 17, 1964.


- Label Variation: This varies in font when compared to other "black b" pressings like: Herbie Hancock - Empyrean Isles

- Blue Label with Black "b", instead of Blue Label with White "B". The Blue with White "B" label can be found here: Herbie Hancock - Empyrean Isles

- Van Gelder stamped in the dead wax, both sides,

- 43 West 61st St., New York 23 address on back cover. Since this is a early 70's pressing, this indicates remaining old cover stock was used.

- Some copies includes "BLUE NOTE. THE DEFINITIVE CATALOGUE" inserts (pictured) that list Blue Note releases.
