Description
A beautiful original copy of the Herbie Nichols Trio Blue Note 1519 Mono LP. Hard to find a nicer copy of this record. Deep Groove RVG etching and ear. FLAT EDGE 767 Lexington Ave NYC address to LP and cover. This came in a small collection of Jazz LP's we recently acquired - we are also selling Lee Morgan's Vol. 3 Blue Note 1557 in a separate auction. Wonderful playful piano playing in a "near-Monk" vein here - a swingin' session.
COVER: VG+ Front cover looks good - no writing or ringwear etc... Some light general wear, mostly to bottom seam and bottom corners. Red wax pencil slash written on rear sleeve. Very few light age stains to rear white slick. Sleeve opening is still sharp. No text on tight spine.
VINYL: NEAR MINT Great copy with lots of shine. Several light wispy play marks that don't cause bad sounds - Quiet run ins and linking grooves... only a small bit of background sound between, not during tracks. ------- One tic heard at beginning of CHIT CHATTING. A light bit of background noise heard during part of bass solo in WILDFLOWER. A superb listen - absolutely free of any high end distortion. BIG SOUND! High and low frequencies come through clearly! LP was enjoyed and played carefully.
