Description
This is a 45 rpm vinyl record, in very good condition, of the Chicago Blackhawks theme song entitled, "Here Come The Hawks".
I purchased this in the early 70's at a Hawks game at the Chicago Stadium, now known as the United Center. This was the era of Stan Mikita, Bobby and Dennis Hull, Tony Esposito, Keith Magnuson, Pit Martin, Chico Maki, Dale Tallon, and Coach Billy Reay to name a few that I remember. A very good time to be a Hawks fan!
The record is in excellent condition with no scratches, no warping, and both sides play just fine. Record jacket is in very good condition as well, with minimal wear and bright colors, as seen in the photos.
This is the original 1968 recording of the song by The Dick Marx Orchestra & Chorus. This theme song has been used in team promotions, radio broadcasts, and at the games themselves. Dick Marx, a jazz musician and jingle composer from Chicago is the father of recording artist, Richard Marx. Dick Marx also wrote arrangements for Joe Cocker among others. He is a Chicago advertising legend.
