Catalogue number COLDLP 002. 33 rpm. Plain white paper inner sleeve. Disc matrix/run-out (Side A): ‘COLDLP 002 A-1-1-X1 Penthouse’; (Side B): ‘COLDLP 002 B-1-1-1-X1 Penthouse’.

Here and Now emerged as stalwarts of the 1970s free festival scene and became the archetypical hippie/punk crossover band. They decided to call it a day in 1986 (though they subsequently reformed) and a farewell concert took place at Camden Dingwalls on the 31st January 1986. The concert was captured for posterity and released as both a video and LP under the name ‘Been and Gone’.

Condition:

Card outer sleeve is in immaculate condition as it has been kept in the loose cellophane (not shrink-wrap) cover from the time of original sale and this has not resulted in any bending/warping of the cover. One or two very small and barely noticeable instances of edge wear.

Inner sleeve is the original plain paper, in excellent condition, slightly age dis-coloured and just light ring/edge wear from the vinyl and very minor other wear.

Vinyl – looks excellent, if not immaculate. Will have been played once or twice at most – see Ts&Cs. Maybe a few light hairlines but no significant marks. Absolutely minimal spindle wear. Labels look excellent. Vinyl has been carefully wiped with an anti-static cloth lightly sprayed with Spincare ‘record cleaner for vinyl records’.

What am I selling?

All the vinyl records which I have for auction are from my own personal vinyl collection; I am simply selling to free up space and am not a professional 'dealer'. Unless stated, all the records were purchased new and have been carefully stored since.

Condition assessment/‘grading’

All items have been carefully visually assessed for condition under good lighting. Unless stated, none of the vinyl has been fully played as part of the condition assessment for the auction. However, unless stated, most of the discs have been played only once (perhaps twice) as from c.1983 I used to buy vinyl, then tape it to listen to. None of the vinyl has been played at all since c.1990, unless I mention a ‘play test’ to check on a specific condition issue for the auction. In my item description I am using my own judgement of condition, as I said I am not a professional 'dealer' so I’m not using any of the grading systems dealer’s use (except please note when creating a listing, a defined condition box has to be completed). In addition to my description of each item, I would strongly urge potential buyers to study the photographs carefully - as these form an essential part of the condition report. All the photos are mine, of the actual item - none are stock photos.

Matrix/run-out details

In some cases I have included alphanumeric matrix information from the run-out/‘dead wax’, as far as I can make it out – these numbers/letters can be very difficult to decipher in some cases. I appreciate that collectors may need exact details of matrix ‘variants’, so if further information or clarification is needed please message me through ebay and I will do what I can to provide what you need.

Overseas buyers:

Regarding overseas (i.e. non-UK) buyers, while I am fairly happy to post items overseas, please contact me through ebay PRIOR TO THE AUCTION END to agree on the required form of postage and therefore the charges. I would strongly recommend that overseas buyers (before bidding) have a look at, for example, the Royal Mail website, to get an idea of cost of shipping stuff overseas from the UK. Please be aware that exports outside of the UK may incur local Tax and Duty, so please check with your local Customs Office and I do not accept any responsibility for any such charges.

Payment method:

PAYPAL only please. Please ensure your details are up to date. I accept no responsibility if the buyer’s delivery address is not up to date and will not issue a refund in such a case. I would very much appreciate prompt payment by successful buyers, preferably as soon as possible after the end of the auction please, but I am happy to wait if any buyer wants to try and win a few items in order to combine them in one parcel (and gain a postage discount).

Packaging:

Items will be well-packaged to avoid damage in shipping. Each vinyl disc will be inside a brand new, good quality anti-static poly inner sleeve, rather than being inside the original inner sleeve and cover, this to avoid seam splits. The disc - inside its new inner sleeve - will be inside a brand new  polythene outer record sleeve, along with its original inner sleeve and its original outer cover. This outer sleeve and its contents will be inside a brand new good quality (corrugated/double wall) cardboard mailer. The mailer will be also packed with at least one brand new good quality (corrugated/double wall) card stiffener to provide extra protection.
