PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS LP FOR THE QUALITY OF THE VINYL BUT RATHER FOR THE VALUE OF THE AUTOGRAPHS.


The opera is called, "Ariadne Auf Naxos" by Richard Strauss.     


This is a hand signed, autographed, 3 LP vinyl record box set with booklet, signed twice, once on the cover and once in the booklet by the late German Baritone, Hermann Prey (1929-1998) and American Tenor James King (1925-2005).   Each signed on the front cover of the box set and on the inside booklet (see photos).      It is also signed on the front cover of the box set by another artist whose signature I do not recognize.  


    The other featured performers on this recording were Gundula Janowitz, Terest Zylis-Gara, Sylvia Geszty, Theo Adam and Peter Schreier.    Rudolf Kempe was the conductor.      


It is on EMI Electrola Records, release number SMA 91771/73. 


The records were MADE IN GERMANY.   


  

I have provided photos of the front cover of the box set with the autographs, the front of the booklet, the two pages that are signed in the booklet and the 3 records. 



   The autographs are not personalized.     By visual inspection only, the vinyl appears to be in excellent condition.   The album box is also very good condition with some brownish stains on the very top.
